The 1st Annual Africa Gender Equality Conference (#AGE22) will be a virtual experience, taking place from the 15th till 17th April 2022 and broadcast to the continent from Lusaka, Zambia. The Conference is expected to bring together over 3,000 participants from government, civil society, academia, gender equality advocates and activists to celebrate strides made in advancing gender equality and discuss solutions to emerging barriers and challenges, chiefly COVID19. Planned to coincide with International Women’s Day, the conference will be held under the UN Women’s 2022 International Women’s Day theme, “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world”, and will present new knowledge, promote truly African solutions, and engage a broad spectrum of voices.
